HONOR ID User Agreement

About Us
HONOR ID and its related technologies and functions (collectively, the "Services") are provided and operated by Shenzhen Honor Software Technologies Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “HONOR", "we", “us", or "our"). In this Agreement (as defined below), "you" and "user" refer to any individual that uses and/or accesses the Services.
Purpose of this Agreement
This user agreement, privacy statement (available at Account center > Settings > About), and other policies published or made available through or in connection with the Services (collectively, the "Agreement") are the terms and conditions applicable to you for your use and access to the Services. This Agreement tells you who we are, how we will provide the Services to you, what activities are permitted, and what activities are not permitted, on or in connection with the Services, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information. Please read this Agreement carefully. By accessing or using the Services, you are entering into a binding legal agreement with us and agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not accept and agree to this Agreement, you must not access or use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be 14 years of age or older or have reached the age of majority for the legal jurisdiction that you select to create an HONOR ID. If you are not yet 14 years old or have not reached the age of majority for the legal jurisdiction that you select, then your legal guardian must agree to and help you create your HONOR ID. Your guardian can create a child account for you by going to Account center > Settings > Child account.
Accessing the Services
We agree to grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and use the Services, subject to and in accordance with this Agreement.
The Services
The Services require Internet access and provide you with the following features and services:
Identity Management
Use HONOR ID: You can log in to HONOR ID to use HONOR services such as My HONOR, HONOR Store, and HONOR Choice. You can also log into third-party services. We will provide services based on your device and the country you are in. Some features may not be available on your device. For more details, please refer to the user manual of your device.
Membership services: You will become an HONOR Premium Member when you register your HONOR ID and can enjoy membership benefits. For more information about HONOR Premium Membership, please refer to HONOR Premium Member Service Agreement (https://agreement.itsec.honor.com/asm/agrFile/getHtmlFile?agrNo=1121&country=cn&branchId=0&langCode=zh-cn).
Real-name authentication: You can provide your ID number and name or provide ID photo or face recognition to complete the real-name authentication in your HONOR ID so that you can use your real-name information while using applications.
Device Management
Device interconnection: If you purchase devices from HONOR, our affiliates, and official partners, your HONOR ID will serve as proof of identification so that you can enjoy a consistent interconnection experience.
Find Device: When you log into your HONOR ID, Find Device will turn on automatically. This feature allows you to locate, ring, lock, erase data, and prevent the device from being erased or reactivated without your HONOR ID and password. You can also find and ring Bluetooth headphones that are paired with your phone and have the Find Device feature. You can visit the Find Device website (cloud.honor.com) or use other HONOR devices to access the Find Device app and locate, ring, lock, and erase data on devices that are logged in with your HONOR ID and have Find Device enabled. When the device is offline and cannot be located, you can send a command related to finding the device via SMS to turn on the mobile data for the offline device. If the “Lost mode” is enabled for the device, you can set the SIM card password remotely.
HONOR Cloud: HONOR Cloud provides users with Data Sync function. You can sync data from applications and features that support this function, such as Contacts, Gallery, HONOR Password Vault, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Calendar, and Notes, to HONOR servers and other HONOR devices that you have logged in to and set as trusted. Changes to your data in applications (not all, subject to actual conditions), such as addition, modification, and deletion, will be automatically uploaded to HONOR Cloud and synced to all your devices that are logged in to the same account and have related switches turned on. Data on these devices will be overwritten.
Cloud Backup
Cloud Backup will periodically create a data backup for your devices (including phones and tablets) when your device is locked, powered up, and connected to a wireless network. You can also manually back up your devices. Once the backup is complete, you can restore your device when needed. When you restore data using Cloud Backup, you agree that we can download the latest app versions from HONOR App Market to restore apps faster. Cloud Backup supports data of system settings, contacts, calendars, messages, call logs, recordings, and applications.
Data backup is a one-way operation that stores the files of your phone in the Cloud, avoiding the difficulty of retrieving local files after accidental loss. If you add, modify, or delete files locally after the backup, the Cloud will not sync the changes and will always maintain the status of the files at the time of backup.
If your device has not backed up any data to HONOR Cloud for more than 180 days, we reserve the right to delete any backups associated with the device and stop subsequent backups. We will send you a notice 30 days before data deletion. During this period, you may use HONOR Cloud to back up your data at any time or purchase an HONOR Cloud membership with a suitable storage capacity to continue to use this function.
You understand that data backed up to HONOR Cloud may fail to be restored or may not be available after restoration due to device type, operating system differences, or application compatibility. We will try our best to ensure that the data involved is safe and secure, but we cannot guarantee that any content you store or access through the Services will not be accidentally damaged or lost. You are solely responsible for backing up your important data to your computer or other devices.
Cloud storage upgrade
HONOR Cloud provides a certain amount of storage for free. When it is used up, we offer various storage upgrade plans. You can subscribe to a plan, which gives you more storage. You can go to the Upgrade cloud storage page to select larger storage and change your subscription. The subscription benefits will take effect immediately.
Based on the nature and characteristics of virtual products, the services you subscribe to cannot be exchanged for goods and cash, or used in the commercial field, such as buying, selling, exchanging, mortgaging, etc. HONOR Cloud may modify and change the fees and charging methods related to the Services according to its overall planning and will update and display the aforementioned modifications and changes on the corresponding service pages.
After you subscribe to a plan, HONOR Cloud will automatically charge your payment account associated with your HONOR ID at the end of an agreed-upon period of time. You should provide us with a valid payment account. If HONOR fails to charge you from your payment account on time, we will revoke your paid benefits and have the right to restrict your access to or delete your stored content.
HONOR Cloud allows users to apply for a refund for the yearly plan within the prescribed period. If your application meets the conditions, HONOR Cloud will refund the full amount to your payment account. After the refund, your storage will be restored to the default free capacity.
To utilize the storage resources reasonably, if you have not used HONOR Cloud for twelve (12) consecutive months, HONOR has the right to terminate the provision of HONOR Cloud service to you and to delete all the contents you have stored in HONOR Cloud. We will send you a notice of service termination and data deletion thirty (30) days in advance and freeze your HONOR Cloud data. Within thirty (30) days, you may apply for activation in HONOR Cloud app (phone or tablet) and delete your content to free up the storage (below the default free capacity) to continue to use the HONOR Cloud free services or to purchase an upgrade plan with a suitable storage capacity. For this term, "use" means accessing, uploading, or downloading data to or from HONOR Cloud.
Security and Risk Management
Account security: To ensure the security of your HONOR ID, we have set up a variety of identity verification methods, such as adding security phone numbers and emergency contacts, self-service to recover your password, and appealing to edit your account information. For example, by verifying your HONOR ID, we can use the information from other HONOR services to recover your password.
Risk management: To further enhance the security of your HONOR ID, we will make risk judgments when you perform high-risk operations, and risk management will be implemented when necessary.
Send notifications
Notifications: You will receive necessary push notifications such as HONOR ID service change notifications.
Service Experience Improvement
We will continuously enhance the quality and user experience of our current and future products and services.
Customer service
You can ask for information or make a complaint through customer service.
The specific services and features we provide may vary depending on your device but will not exceed the scope described in this statement and will ultimately be subject to the services presented on your device.
Third-Party Services
If you log in and use third-party services with your HONOR ID, we recommend that you read the third-party agreements and privacy policies carefully. We have no rights or obligations to control or review the content of products or services offered by third-party service providers. Nor are we responsible for any infringement of your rights in connection with the use of such third-party products and services. We shall not be responsible for the content or availability of any third-party products or services. Nor do we make any warranties or guarantees of any kind for any content, advertisements, products, services, or other information provided by third parties on or through the Services.
Account Security
You should register your HONOR ID with your real identity and promise to keep your HONOR ID username, password, verification code, and other related information (including but not limited to the information of the device logged in with this HONOR ID and personal information) properly and do not share such information with anyone else. We recommend that you choose a strong password and keep it in a safe place. If you provide the above information to third parties or lose your phone or other devices, you will be responsible for any resulting losses and liabilities.
If you think that someone else might be using your account, you must let us know immediately using the contact information in this Agreement (see Contacting Us). You shall take appropriate steps to protect your HONOR ID to prevent unauthorized use by third parties.
You must not use anyone else's HONOR ID to access the Services. If you use an HONOR ID that is not the one you registered to access the Services, you shall be responsible for any losses and liabilities resulting from such use.
You may not maliciously register HONOR ID. We reserve the right to make independent judgments and deal with malicious registrations.
Without our permission, you may not give, lend, rent, transfer, sell, or otherwise license other people to use the HONOR ID you registered.
You may not transfer your HONOR ID with or without compensation to avoid disputes. You shall be responsible for any liabilities arising therefrom and we reserve the right to hold the above-mentioned perpetrators legally responsible.
If you are currently using an HONOR ID that was not registered by you or obtained through software or services provided by us, you should notify us in the first instance and not log into or perform other operations using that account.
If you lose your HONOR ID information due to personal reasons and need to recover it, you can follow the HONOR ID appeal process to provide the appropriate information. Whether the appeal is successful will depend on the information you provide.
Acceptable Use of the Services
By accessing and using the Services, you undertake and agree to do so in a legal and ethical manner and in accordance with this Agreement. You hereby acknowledge and agree that you shall not use the Services to transmit material, or otherwise engage in any activity that is dishonest, defamatory, tortious, harmful, obscene, offensive, bullying, harassing, scandalous, hateful, inflammatory, threatening, unlawful, profane, pornographic, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable in relation to your use of the Services including without limitation, anything that facilitates illegal activities, depicts sexually explicit images, promotes violence, is discriminatory, illegal, could or does cause damage or injury to any person or property, or could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable laws, including, without limitation, any material that you are not entitled to post or transmit, or where such posting or transmission is in breach of any duty of confidentiality and/or infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights.
You hereby agree that you will not engage in any of the following activities:
(a) reproduce, make alterations to, or modifications of the whole or any part of the Services, or permit the whole or any part of the Services to be combined with or become incorporated in any other programs;
(b) obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorized access to or impair any aspect of the Services or related systems or networks;
(c) disassemble, decompile, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the Services or attempt to do so beyond the extent allowed by applicable laws;
(d) distribute, license, lease, sell, resell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, stream, broadcast, or otherwise exploit the Services;
(e) provide or otherwise make available the Services in whole or in part (including the object and source code), in any form to any person without our prior written consent;
(f) impersonate any person or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
(g) use the Services (or any part(s) thereof) in any unlawful manner, for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner inconsistent with this Agreement, or act fraudulently or maliciously, including without limitation, by hacking into or inserting malicious code, including viruses, or harmful data, into the Services (or into the websites linked to the Services) or any operating system;
(h) infringe upon our or any third party's intellectual property rights when your access and/or use the Services;
(i) collect users' information or otherwise access the Services or our systems using automated means, or attempt to decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Services;
(j) develop, support, or use software, devices, scripts, or any other means or processes (including crawlers, browser plug-ins or add-ons, or any other technology or manual work) to scrape information from the Services or otherwise copy profiles and other data from the Services;
(k) commercially exploit the Services without our prior written consent;
(l) use the Services to engage in any illegal business transactions such as selling firearms, drugs, illegal substances, pirated software, or other prohibited items;
(m) provide gambling information or encourage others to gamble by any means;
(n) solicit login information or access accounts belonging to someone else;
(o) participate in money laundering, cashing, or multi-level marketing activities; attempt, facilitate, or encourage any violations of the whole or any part of the Agreement;
(p) use the Services in any manner which could damage, disable, overburden, impair, or compromise the Services, our systems or its security, or interfere with other users or any other party's computer systems, or hack or gain unauthorized access to the Services or HONOR Content (defined below) or data;
(q) remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from any portion of the Services.
Our Content
We and/or our licensors shall retain all rights, titles, and interests in and to the information in any form, including but not limited to text, videos and audios, images, icons, apps, designs, software, scripts, programs, copyrights, trademarks, trade names, logos, and other materials and services available on or through the Services, including their look and feel (collectively, "Our Content"). Your access and/or use of any of the Services does not transfer to you or any other person any ownership or other rights in or to the Services, or their content, except if expressly specified in this Agreement.
You may not make alterations, copies, extractions, modifications, or additions to Our Content, or sell, copy, disseminate or license it, or misuse Our Content in any way. If you want to re-publish, extract, reproduce, disseminate, or otherwise use any of Our Content, you must contact us in advance and obtain our prior written consent, unless otherwise expressly provided in this Agreement. This is without prejudice to any rights you may have under applicable mandatory laws.
If you believe that the Services or any part thereof infringe upon any copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights, or if you have other concerns regarding the Services, please notify us using the contact information provided in the "Contacting Us" section.
Your Content
You shall retain the ownership of proprietary rights in the texts, files, images, photos, and other information you upload, post, or otherwise transmit to or via the Services (collectively "Your Content"). This includes that the phone number you provide should be your valid contact information.
Monitoring the Services
You acknowledge and agree that we may at any time, at our sole discretion and without notice to you, take such measures we deem necessary for operating, managing, and improving the Services, (including without limitation for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation and customer support purposes), ensuring your compliance with this Agreement, complying with applicable laws, court orders, directions of any court, or complying with any directions or requirements of governmental departments, enforcement authorities, or regulatory bodies.
If the information you submit for registration of your HONOR ID contains illegal or improper information, we have the right to reject the registration.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that your current HONOR ID falls under one of the following circumstances, we have the right to restrict, freeze, or terminate your access to the HONOR ID at any time and decide whether to resume your access based on the actual situation:
(1) HONOR ID not obtained through software or services provided or expressly licensed by us;
(2) HONOR ID obtained by fraudulent means;
(3) HONOR ID obtained through malicious registration;
(4) HONOR ID registered and obtained for illegal purposes.
If you obtain and use your HONOR ID by the above means, you shall bear the relevant legal responsibilities and losses (including but not limited to interruption of communication, nulling or unavailability of virtual property and related data, value-added services, products or services, etc.).
To make full use of the HONOR ID resources, we have the right to terminate the use of your HONOR ID if you have not logged in for a certain period after registration or have not logged in for a long time.
You will be responsible for any damage caused by us limiting, freezing, or terminating the use of your HONOR ID in accordance with this Agreement or relevant laws and regulations.
Privacy and Data Collection
To provide the services specified in this user agreement, we will collect and process your personal information in accordance with Statement About HONOR ID and Privacy. If you refuse to provide the necessary permissions, we will not be able to provide you with the appropriate services.
Disclaimer
The Services are for your sole and personal use only and must not be used by any third party. You agree that we and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, third-party payment providers, partners, licensors, and distributors (collectively, the "HONOR Parties") are not liable for any losses caused by any unauthorized use of the Services.
Your use of the Services may be interrupted, delayed, or disrupted for an unknown period for reasons that are beyond our control. The HONOR Parties will not be liable for any claim arising from or related to such interruption, delay, disruption, or similar failure.
To the maximum extent permitted by the applicable law in your jurisdiction, the HONOR Parties are not liable to you or anyone else for any liability, loss, damages, or compensation if you are unable to access or use the Services due to:
(a) any suspension or termination of the Services by us to enable maintenance work or updates to systems, software, or hardware to be carried out;
(b) any delay or failure of a system or communication network that is owned or controlled by someone other than us;
(c) any suspension, cancellation, or termination of any contracts or other arrangements between HONOR and any of its third-party payment service providers;
(d) any error or interruption due to hacking attempts or similar security breaches; or
(e) Any other reasons beyond our reasonable control.
The Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any representation or endorsement of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by the applicable law in your jurisdiction, the HONOR Parties disclaim all warranties, conditions, or other agreements of any kind express or implied. We give no guarantee, undertaking, representation, or warranty for the following:
(a) in connection with the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any of the content made available on or through the Services;
(b) that Services or the server(s) it is hosted on is free from defects, errors, viruses, bugs, or other harmful elements;
(c) that any defects in the operation or functionality of any Services will be corrected;
(d) in connection with the specific functions of the Services, the reliability, quality, or accuracy of any information obtained by you as a result of your use or access of the Services;
(e) in connection with the security or error-free nature of the Services; and
(f) in connection with the Services' reliability, quality, accuracy, availability, or ability to meet your needs, provide certain outputs, or achieve certain results or outcomes.
The HONOR Parties shall not be liable for any losses or damages caused in whole or in part by you relying upon, using, or interpreting the Services, or you (or anyone else) accessing and/or using information obtained through this Services.
Some countries forbid the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties, guarantees, or liabilities in contracts by law. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the exclusions or limitations under this Agreement may not apply to you. Nothing in the Agreement affects the legal rights that you are legally entitled to as a consumer and which you cannot contractually agree to alter or waive.
Termination by You
You can terminate this Agreement by deleting your HONOR ID.
If you completely delete your account through our online feature:
(a) Deleting of your account will result in all data stored under your account becoming unrecoverable immediately and all data will be permanently deleted within 6 months, including the user content generated by your account. Please read this Agreement carefully before deciding whether to delete your account.
(b) We will not retain any information, files, or other content stored under your account after it is deleted. In addition, content and messages that you have sent to other users may be unrecoverable.
(c) Deleting your account does not relieve you of your obligation to any fees that remain payable up to and including the date of termination. Neither we nor any third party will be liable for the consequences of your deletion.
Termination or Suspension by Us
Subject to applicable law, we may at our sole and absolute discretion temporarily or permanently terminate, impose limits on or restrict your access to parts or all of the Services at any time, without assuming liability for any individual or third party. We will endeavor to provide a notice to you before we take the above actions. However, we may immediately restrict or terminate your access to all or part(s) of the Services, either permanently or temporarily, without prior notice to you if:
(a) if you violate, or if we believe you are about to violate, this Agreement, including any incorporated agreements, policies, or guidelines;
(b) If you or anyone acting on your behalf acts fraudulently or illegally, or provides us with any false or misleading information;
(c) in response to requests by law enforcement or other government agencies under valid legal process;
(d) in order to carry out urgent maintenance work or urgent updates to systems or hardware; or
(e) due to unexpected technical, safety, business, or security reasons;
If you do not complete the account activation within three (3) days of registration, or if you violate this Agreement (e.g., sending spam advertisements), we reserve the right to stop providing the Services to you and delete your account and all data and information related to the account.
The expiry or termination of the Agreement does not affect the provisions of the Agreement that are expressed to operate or have effect after the expiry or termination thereof and is without prejudice to any accrued rights or obligations or any rights or obligations which are intended to survive such deactivation or termination.
Any provisions of this Agreement that expressly or by their nature are intended to survive the termination of the Agreement, will continue in full force and effect subsequent to and notwithstanding such termination, until such provisions are satisfied or by their nature expire.
Changes to this Agreement
We are constantly innovating, changing, and improving the Services. We may add or remove functionalities or features, create new limits to the Services, or temporarily or permanently suspend or stop a Service. We can make changes to this Agreement at any time and post additional specific terms, codes of conduct, or guidelines that govern a particular part, parts, or all of our Services.
We may not inform you in advance about modifications to this Agreement or changes to the Services that do not materially disadvantage our users or do not materially limit the access or usage of the Services or HONOR services. For changes to the Services or this Agreement that we need to make to meet technical, security, safety, legal, or regulatory requirements, we may not be able to meet the aforementioned timescales and we will update you about these changes as soon as is practicable. In addition, we may not inform you in advance about the modifications to this Agreement or changes to the Services that do not materially affect or disadvantage users or do not materially limit their access to or use of the Services.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The formation, interpretation, and operation of this Agreement are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. All parties hereby agree that this Agreement is executed at Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Any disputes arising between the parties during the performance of the contract shall be resolved through consultation, or if it fails, settled by litigation in the court with jurisdiction where the agreement is executed.
General
The Services or third parties may provide links to other websites or resources. You further acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible or liable, directly, or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, materials, or services available on or through any such site or resource. We are not responsible for any damages or losses caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with your use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or resources.
Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to create a partnership or agency relationship between you and us. No party shall have the right or authority to incur any liabilities, debts, costs, or enter into any contracts or other arrangements in the name of or on behalf of the other.
We may assign, sub-contract, or novate any of our rights and obligations under this Agreement, and you agree to promptly execute any documents necessary or desirable for such purposes.
If any provision (or part of a provision) of this Agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or any other competent authorities to be void, invalid, or unenforceable, it shall be deemed to be deleted from this Agreement and all other provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and legally effective.
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and us concerning the Services, and you acknowledge and agree that you have not relied on or been induced to enter into this Agreement in reliance on any representations, warranties, or undertakings not provided in this Agreement.
